Believed to be related to the Cottontail, this breed has many similar temperament traits. It is extremely intelligent, but less inclined to show off. This breed is more likely to try to teach you tricks than learn them itself. With the proper motivation, they can be taught just as much as the Cottontail.
This breed is much more independent than the Cottontail. They do not need the constant attention the Cottontail requires and usually prefer to lounge in a high place, able to survey their home rather than cuddle with their human. Their activity level is much lower than that of the Cottontail. As long as they get enough mental stimulation from play sessions and toys, they are happy to spend the day just hanging out and relaxing.
This breed also differs from the Cottontail in build. Where the Cottontail is sturdy, this cat is much more dainty and delicate. It cannot tolerate rough handling, though it is extremely agile.
Like the Cottontail, this breed has white markings on the face, chest, and tail, usually combined with blue eyes. Their coloration is typical black or a chocolate brown. Their fur is short, but can be rex (curly) or straight. The rex variety is considered to be fairly allergy-friendly, much like the Cottontail.
