Named for their unique fluffy white tail marking, the Cottontail Cat is an intelligent and friendly breed. Their fur is a medium length, generally solid colored aside from white markings on their face, chest, and tail. Blue eyes are typical with the breed, but other eye colors are occasionally seen.
This breed is extremely social with humans and very active. They generally are easy to leash-train and love going outside on supervised adventures. But they always love coming home to cuddle with their human. While they enjoy the company of their fellow cats, they get lonely if not given attention from humans.
Cottontails love learning new things and will eagerly learn to do all sorts of tricks. Don't be surprised if yours starts doing them unprompted, just to get a giggle out of you.
Cottontails make a great attention to almost any family, but make sure you have the time and energy to dedicate to the cat. They don't take well to being ignored.
The Cottontail's fur is unique in that it is a 'rex' type fur, though is much longer than typical rex cats'. It is very similar to poodle fur and as such is considered to be fairly allergy friendly.
